However the guy that replaced the seal on the pump told me that my lucas epic injector pump really needs rebuilding and at a cost of $1800 isnt cheap for me thats 1120 converted into pounds. The pump went back in and started up with no problem ,and with a new timing belt. I had some trouble with the lucas epic injector pump which was leaking fuel and have taken it out to have the seal replaced and thanks to the good people here who supplied with the best information needed It was a job I now have been able to master. My transit has a 2.5.turbo diesel 5 spd manual and is from 2000.
